Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and chairpersons of the education boards handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban at 10am on Saturday.
This year, 111,901 examinees secured GPA-5.
Of the nearly 1.5 million students, 1,282,618 have passed.
The success rate has dropped 4.3 percentage points this year from 91.34 percent last year.
According to Nahid, 5,095 schools have managed 100 percent success rate.
In the eight general education boards, the average rate of success has been 86.72 percent.
The rate is 90.2 percent in madrasah board and 83.01 percent in vocational board.
The education minister will reveal detailed trends of the results at a media conference at the Secretariat at 1pm.
The results will be available for the students from 2pm.
The exams were scheduled to begin on Feb 1, but were deferred to Feb 6 after the BNP-Jamaat-e-Islami alliance announced an indefinite transport blockade.
All the exams were deferred and taken on weekly holidays – Fridays and Saturdays.
The written exams, scheduled to end on Mar 10, ended on Apr 3.
Of the total 1,479,266 SSC examinees, 699,525 were female.
The students will be able to access the results through mobile phones as well.
A student will have to type SSC<space>first three letters of education board’s name<space>roll No.<space>2015 and SMS to 16222 to get the result in a reply SMS.
The results will also be available on the websites of the education boards
